Journaling God’s Word in Your Heart
🌿 Introduction
Bible journaling is more than just decorating pages—it’s about letting the Word of God take root in your heart. It’s a creative way to worship, remember His promises, and see how God is moving in your life. When you write, draw, or color His Word, you’re not just reading it—you’re living it.
“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” — Psalm 119:11 (KJV)
Each stroke of color and every note you write is a form of praise. It’s your conversation with the Lord made visual—a place where Scripture becomes art and art becomes prayer.
My Bible Journaling Testimony: When I started Bible Journaling I looked forward to not only highlighting or decorating my Bible but it started to help me read my scriptures frequently in the way that made me feel closer to GOD.. I bought Bible Stickers for my Bible some had scriptures I knew & some had scriptures that made me read a whole book in the Bible. Bible Journaling Helped me dig deep into the word of my GOD. Sometimes you might get tired of just reading scriptures my advice DON’T! find new ways to always stay connected to GOD.

How to Start Bible Journaling
-
Choose Your Verse or Theme
Begin with a verse that speaks to you that day—maybe about faith, peace, or God’s provision.
Example: Philippians 4:19 — “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” -
Reflect on the Word
Read it slowly. Ask yourself: What is God saying to me through this?
Write down key words, emotions, or promises you sense in your heart. - Express Through Art
- Use watercolor, markers, stickers, or doodles—whatever makes you feel connected. Even simple flowers or hearts can symbolize God’s love and growth in your life.
- Pray as You Create
- Turn your journaling time into prayer. Thank God for His Word, His faithfulness, and His presence in your day.
- Review & Remember
- Flip back through your journal often. You’ll see a timeline of God’s faithfulness, His provision, and the moments He spoke to you clearly.
Encouraging Scriptures for Bible Journaling
- Psalm 37:4 (KJV) — “Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”
- Isaiah 40:31 (KJV) — “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength…”
- Philippians 4:13 (KJV) — “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
- Psalm 46:10 (KJV) — “Be still, and know that I am God.”
- Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV) — “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”
A Heartfelt Reminder
Bible journaling isn’t about perfection—it’s about presence. God doesn’t look at how straight your lines are or how pretty your art is. He looks at your heart. Every page becomes a love letter between you and Him.
“Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.” — James 4:8 (KJV)
So open your Bible, grab your pens, and let your worship flow through color and creativity.
